The girlfriend of Denver Broncos defensive end Jason Hunter threw a knife at him, according to reports from the NFL and AP. Hunter was struck in the chest by the knife, which was thrown in the middle of an argument about cell phones. His agent said he received several stitches and was doing “well.” [NFL]

Former NY Giants wide receiver David Tyree hates the idea of gay Americans being married so much that he would give back his game-winning Super Bowl catch. Tyree told the New York Daily News that stopping gay marriage was more important to him than a Super Bowl win.
Tyree was apparently unaware that African-Americans like himself similarly had their marriage rights limited by the government.
Polls show increasing amounts of Americans support the rights of gays to marry.
